Freemefy provides you the opportunity to create mutually supportive communities where you can seek help from members to get any Task Done and also contribute by helping others by providing your services as per your skills and Earn Money. Those willing to provide services are called Experts and those seeking help are called Clients. As a Client, you can hire Experts in three ways:
- Raising a Task Request and assigning your Task to Experts based on their Offers and overall Profile.
- Buying Services listed by Experts.
- Directly assigning your Task to an Expert.
You must read through the Community Guidelines as important issues have been addressed therein. Few aspects to keep in mind to get your Task Done are enumerated below.
Always Avoid Ambiguity
While raising a Task Request, attach pictures and describe your task in great detail so as to ensure that there is no ambiguity or perceived miscommunication. Mention your expectations from the Expert, minimum qualitative requirements, things which you can provide, and other terms and conditions related to implementation of the Task.
When you receive offers from Experts and you want to confirm or clarify something from the prospective Expert before assigning your Task, it is recommended to chat with the Expert by going to the Expert’s profile by clicking on the name of the Expert on the Offer Card. Based on your discussion, you can either raise a fresh Task Request or the Expert can revise his/her offer, as the case may be.
While buying Services, you must settle all your queries by clicking on the ‘Reply to Listing’ button. As an alternative, you can chat with the Expert by going to his/her profile and thrash out any doubts. In case of customization to the service, you can raise a Task Request to the specific Expert from his/her profile.
How to Hire for Recurring Tasks
Freemefy is a short-term hiring platform, however, there may be circumstances which may require you to hire Experts for a longer duration, and you don’t want to pay them at once for the entire duration.
In such a case, it is recommended to raise a Task Request and state in the description the intended total period of service, for example three months, and the specified interval at which the service will be renewed and payment made, for example on monthly basis. Also, you must clarify that the budget mentioned in the Task Request is for the specific period, i.e. one month as per the above example. Thereafter, on specified intervals, you must raise Expert specific Task Request from his/her profile, i.e. monthly as per the example.
This way you can retain flexibility in hiring the Expert, and the Expert also gains as it improves his/her online reputation by having completed more tasks. The use cases can be many, like hiring a maid, a person for car wash, gardener, salesperson, gig singer at restaurant, waiter, nurse for elderly care, etc.
Maintain Digital Proof on Freemefy
Contents of Service Listings by Experts, Task Requests raised by you and the chat between you and Experts forms a digital proof of the mutually agreed terms of the task. This acts as a deterrence for members and minimizes disputes during implementation of the task. Hence, all instances of change in the scope, price or the agreed terms must be mentioned on Freemefy Platform, either as a chat between you and the Expert or by raising a fresh Task Request.
There are bound to be instances where, the Expert on physically inspecting the Task, may request an increase in price or you may like to increase the scope of the Task. In such cases, instead of agreeing to it verbally, it is mandatory to raise a Task Request to cover the difference between the agreed and increased price. In case there is change in scope or terms of the Task without any increase in price, the same must be mutually agreed on chat.
Physically Verify Identity & Claims
Freemefy provides a Green Tick to Experts who have got their basic verifications done and the same are displayed on their profiles. It is natural for Experts to stake claims with respect to their education, experience, skills, etc. It is recommended that you must physically check the documents of identity or other claims made by the Expert on their profile. For this, you must inform the Expert of your intention and that he/she must produce the relevant documents as asked by you.
There may be circumstances where an Expert my subcontract the Task to someone else or he/she may send someone from his/her team to implement the Task. You must make sure that you have agreed to this arrangement on Freemefy Platform on chat, moreover, you must make sure that the persons undertaking the Task are members of Freemefy Community. This is to ensure security and dispute resolution. Also, you would be able to assess the online reputation of persons before they undertake your Task.
Inappropriate Behavior
In case you feel that behavior of the Expert towards you is inappropriate, you must immediately cease the Task being implemented and request the Expert to leave your premises. In case you feel danger to your life, you must call for nearest available help or the police and initiate action against the Expert. You should inform Freemefy of any such incident to enable Freemefy to assess his/her suitability of continuing as a member of Freemefy Community.
Create Your Supportive Community
On completion of every Task by an Expert, you must review his/her Listing as it forms an important decision-making parameter for members of Freemefy Community while hiring an Expert. In addition, if you deem the Expert worthy of being part of your support system, you can follow the Expert from his profile, also if you like listed services, you can add them to favorites. This way you will be able to create a support system of tried and tested Experts as well as Services and depend upon them for your future support needs.
